Moon Light (My poem #5)
Full moon bestows its light to the ocean
Dancing, mesmerizing, tantalizing
Lays out a shimmering carpet
Is it a ruse?
Is it looking for company?
Inviting me to a tryst?
I say for what?
An ephemeral romance?
Can I resist the lure?
What if I refuse?
Set to give itself to the deep blue
No ruminations
A mere act of devotion
Gracefully slides under the horizon
I have time to think
It will reappear tomorrow
May not be the same
Clouds may block its beam
That’s life
Devoid of permanence
Seize the moment,
Imbibe its effervescence.
